Mr. James Bernard Tyler III – Founder/Executive Director
James (Jamie) Tyler is a 25year veteran Detective Grade 2 of the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC and has since retired in 2022. In 2024, Jamie launched his Jamie Tyler Foundation that will be dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and providing support to those who are struggling. As you may know, mental health is a topic that affects so many people, yet it can still be taboo for some to talk about. That's why this foundation is working hard to break down those barriers and create a safe space for open conversations. The Jamie Tyler Foundation offers resources, support groups, educational events, and clinical Training (Preparing you to effectively address various mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, grief, stress, relationship difficulties and suicidal ideation.
Mr. Joseph Stoddard – Chief of Staff
Mr. Joseph Stoddard, the visionary behind IMG Group for over 20 years, now serves as the Managing Partner of the Pivot Group USA. Additionally, he holds a position on the board of a nonprofit organization. Celebrated for his expertise in real estate development, business finance, and hotel ownership, Stoddard has carved out a distinguished niche within the industry. His keen acumen for government contracting and successful forays into international commodity trading within the Oil & Gas sector further underscore his impactful business prowess. With an unwavering commitment to success and a strong global network spanning in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, Stoddard continues to make a lasting impression on multiple industries and remains a noteworthy figure in the business world.
Ms. LauraLynn Clay – Chair
Laura Lynn Clay is a master organizer, idea strategist, and resource wizard.
Her mission is to optimize efficiency, streamline processes, and foster innovation. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creative problem-solving, Ms. Clay specializes in developing customized organizational systems, brainstorming breakthrough ideas, and providing access to a wide array of resources. She is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses achieve their goals by maximizing productivity and harnessing the power of strategic thinking. Whether it's creating order out of chaos, sparking new concepts, or connecting clients with valuable tools and information, she is committed to being the go-to source for all organizational and strategic needs.
Dr. John Dixon – Vice Chair
Dr. John Dixon is a distinguished professional with expertise in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Natural Language Processing (NLP). His career has been marked by exemplary leadership in data science, artificial intelligence, and marketing analytics projects, primarily focusing on metadata analysis, data visualization, statistical modeling, and data mining. Dr. Dixon leverages data science, computer science, mathematics, and software engineering skills to excel in managing extensive datasets. Dr. Dixon holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Michigan State University, which he earned in 2003, and an M.S. in Computer Science in 1998. He also has a B.S. in Computer Science from Hampton University, which he earned in 1996.
Mrs. Candice Johnson - Treasurer
Candice Johnson is an accomplished Contracting Professional and Business Strategist with in-depth understanding of project management, federal contracting, program integrity and health systems. She is a dedicated public servant with more than 15 years serving in various leadership capacities in federal government. She currently serves as Director of Program Integrity Support contracts for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services where she manages the Center for Program Integrity Fraud, Waste and Abuse contractual programs and is responsible for more than $500 million in federally appropriated funds. She serves as an Advisor and Subject Matter Expert to both staff and politically appointed leadership on procurement, budget and other contractual and legislative policies/changes.
Mrs. Wyevetra Jordan - Secretary
Wyvetra Jordan is one of the most prominent African-American female executive business owners in the DC, Maryland area; recently making
history as the first African American owner of a professional business
complex in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She is the CEO of the Top 2 businesses in the Complex. Including The Home Team Realty Group, a
Luxury Boutique Brokerage in Fort Washington, Maryland.
Wyevetra has over 28 years of leadership experience running successful staffs/teams of over 100 people, both federal and contract employees during her time as a Senior Executive in Federal Service. Wyevetra was a Senior Executive by the age of 40 and mentored new Senior Executives for government agencies including the Office of Personnel Management, Department of Commerce and other new corporate executives and companies.
Ms. Crystal Rucker – General Board Member
Crystal Rucker currently serves as the Director of Development for Washington Area Women’s Foundation providing leadership of the Foundation’s fundraising strategies and operations. Ms. Rucker began her career over 20 years ago working with an investment banking firm where she realized that she wanted to find a way to align those client relationships with the opportunity to make a broader social impact in her community. Crystal’s expertise in the philanthropic development space has intersected fundraising, donor cultivation, community engagement, strategic partnerships, grantmaking, marketing, communications, and program management. Throughout her career, she raised nearly $100MM and has partnered with executives at mission-driven companies to develop highly impactful partnership strategies and deepen investments through cross-sector collaboration.
All of our staff members, Board of Directors, volunteers and community partners are qualified to provide services. We are in good standings with Prince George’s County Government, State of Maryland and IRS. We are a fiscal agent for Prince George’s County Office of Stakeholder, Engagement and Affairs and Prince George’s County Office of Community Relations. We were an approved organization for workplace giving by Office of Personnel Management, State of Maryland and DC Government. All agencies vetted our organization for accountability, management and oversight standards.
